Granola Cake - Tuesdays with Dorie

Our second project this month from Dorie Greenspan's Baking Chez Moi was a snack cake that incorporated ready-made granola. Since I had none on hand, I made a batch of Crunchy Granola from the book.
Packed with toasted oats, nuts, seeds, coconut, and chocolate, it tasted good but I still prefer my granola for breakfast with some plain yogurt.

  3. I had some muesli on hand that I wanted to use up, so I didn't make Dorie's granola, but I want to correct that soon (and perhaps bake another one of these cakes). Your cake looks perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack!

  5. Well I mean this isn't meant to be breakfast (though I did eat it for breakfast!) - it's more like a snacking cake. I'm ok with that and will be making it again soon!

  7. Zosia it looks and sounds delicious, I have made granola bars before and they are absolutely amazing.
